Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This website, www.rvheater.com, is operated by Wenzhou Good Auto Parts Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of the Vvkb heaters sold here ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
If you only want the short version: we collect what we need to take your order, ship it, support it, and keep the site working. We do not sell your personal information. You can email info@vvkb.com at any time to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Wenzhou Good Auto Parts Co., Ltd.
Longwan District, Wenzhou, Zhejiang 325055, China
Email: info@vvkb.com
We are the manufacturer, not a reseller. That is why your order is handled by the same company that builds the heater, and why the person answering info@vvkb.com can tell you what is actually inside the unit. Email is the fastest way to reach us and it is the address a real person reads.
2. What we collect
When you place an order, you give us: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and what you ordered. Your card number is never given to us — see section 4.
When you contact us, we keep the email, the order number, and any photos or videos you send us about a fault, because that is how we work out what went wrong and what part to send you.
When you browse the site, we automatically receive your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you looked at, and the site or search that sent you here.
If you sign up for our emails, we keep your email address and whether you opened or clicked.
3. Why we are allowed to use it
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR apply to you, and we rely on these legal bases:
Performance of a contract — to take payment, ship your order, handle returns and warranty claims.
Legal obligation — to keep tax and customs records for as long as the law requires.
Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure, prevent fraud, understand which pages people find useful, and improve our products. We have weighed these against your rights and consider them proportionate.
Consent — for marketing emails and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
4. Payment
We do not store or process your card number. Payment on this site is handled by PayPal, which processes card and PayPal balance payments on our behalf and is certified to PCI-DSS Level 1. When you pay, PayPal receives the information it needs to complete the transaction and handles it under its own privacy policy, which you can read at www.paypal.com/legalhub/privacy-full.
We receive from PayPal only a confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and the billing name and address needed to fulfil the order.
5. Who else sees your data
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do a job for us, and only as much as they need:
Shopify Inc. — the platform this store runs on. It hosts the store, stores order data, and sends order and shipping notifications.
PayPal — payment processing (section 4).
Shipping carriers and customs brokers — your name, address, phone number and a description of the goods, so the parcel can be delivered and cleared.
Parcel Panel — order tracking display.
Judge.me — product reviews, if you choose to leave one.
Google Analytics and Google Ads — site usage measurement and advertising measurement, using cookies and similar identifiers.
Tapita — SEO and page speed tooling.
Shopify Inbox — the chat window, if you use it.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it with data brokers.
We will disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
6. Where your data goes, and why some of it goes to China
We will be straightforward about this, because it matters and because you are entitled to know before you order.
We are a manufacturer in China. Our store platform, Shopify, holds your order data on servers in the United States and Canada. Our team in China accesses your order through that platform in order to build, pack and ship what you bought, to work out which spare part you need when something goes wrong, and to answer your emails.
So if you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your name, address, phone number, email address and order details are accessed from China. China is not covered by a UK or EU adequacy decision.
We rely on Article 49(1)(b) of the UK and EU GDPR for this: the transfer is necessary in order to perform the contract you entered into with us. You ordered a heater from a Chinese manufacturer to be shipped to you; we cannot make it, ship it, clear it through customs or support it without our own staff seeing your delivery details.
What we do to keep it proportionate: we transfer only what is needed to fulfil and support the order, we do not transfer browsing or analytics data to China, access is limited to the staff who handle orders and support, and we do not use your order data for any purpose other than the ones set out in this policy.
If you would rather not have your details handled this way, please do not place an order, and email info@vvkb.com if you would like us to delete an enquiry you have already sent us.
7. How long we keep it
Order records, including your name, address and what you bought: seven years from the order date, because tax and customs law requires it.
Support emails and warranty correspondence: three years from the last message, so we can still help you inside the warranty period and afterwards.
Marketing email records: until you unsubscribe, and then a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
Analytics data: as configured in Google Analytics, currently 14 months.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email info@vvkb.com and ask us to:
show you what personal information we hold about you;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete it, where we are not required to keep it for tax or legal reasons;
send it to you, or to another company, in a machine-readable file;
stop using it for marketing;
stop or limit other uses of it, or object to them.
We will answer within 30 days. We will not charge you and we will not make the process harder than sending one email.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have got it wrong, you may also complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. We do use Google Analytics and Google Ads, which may count as "sharing" under California law; you can opt out by emailing info@vvkb.com, by using the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
9. Cookies
Essential cookies keep your cart, your session and your checkout working. The site cannot function without them.
Analytics and advertising cookies, set by Google Analytics and Google Ads, tell us which pages people use and whether an ad led to a sale.
Preference cookies remember your language and country selection.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will break the cart and the checkout.
10. Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email info@vvkb.com and we will delete it.
11. Security
Traffic to and from this site is encrypted with TLS. Order and customer data is held inside Shopify's platform, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Access on our side is limited to the people who handle orders and support, and each of them has their own login rather than a shared one.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever have a breach that puts your rights at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the time limits the law sets.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on this page rather than quietly editing it.
