Vvkb Diesel Heater

Diesel Air Heater for RV, Truck and Van — 2.5KW & 5KW

A Vvkb diesel air heater runs on 12V DC and your fuel tank — no shore power, no propane, no generator needed. It heats your RV, truck cab, van, or boat cabin from a cold start in under 15 minutes, rated to -40°F (-40°C). Available in 2.5KW and 5KW, E-mark, CE, RoHS, and FCC certified.

Vvkb Diesel Heater Highlights

1. Kyocera Ceramic Glow Plug
Reliable ignition at -40°F (-40°C), every start. The same plug used in professional-grade heating systems, rated for 10,000+ ignition cycles. Your heater fires up even in extreme cold without hesitation.

2. ~50dB During Operation
Quieter than a normal conversation. The air intake path is engineered to suppress combustion noise so you can run it overnight without disturbing sleep — in your RV, truck cab, or tent.

3. 12V and 24V Compatible
Works in RVs, trucks, vans, boats, and tents. Runs directly on your vehicle's DC power — no shore power, no generator, no extra wiring needed.

4. E-mark, CE, RoHS and FCC Certified
Independently tested and approved for road vehicles across Europe, North America, and Australia. Not self-declared — every certification requires physical product testing before it's issued.

5. 30 Years of Manufacturing
Every Vvkb heater is built and tested in our own factory. If you have questions after installation, our support team responds within 6–8 hours by email.

Vvkb Diesel Heater Assembly Video

Every Vvkb diesel heater is assembled in our own factory by trained technicians — not outsourced, not relabeled. This video shows the full assembly process, from component inspection to final quality check. You're buying directly from the manufacturer.

Vvkb Diesel Heater Heat Exchanger Comparison

The heat exchanger is where cheap diesel heaters fail first. Thin aluminum casting, poor welds, and minimal material mean it cracks under thermal stress within months. This video compares a Vvkb heat exchanger — die-cast at 1,000 tons, weighing 2.1kg — against what you get from $100 alternatives. The difference is visible within seconds.

Installation Precautions

Every Vvkb heater is fully tested before shipping — you don't need to test it on arrival. From 30 years of supporting customers, we know most problems happen during installation, not during use. We've compiled a complete installation guide covering the details that prevent 90% of post-install issues.

Diesel Heater Troubleshooting

If your heater shows an error code, most issues are resolved by checking fuel supply, air circulation, or glow plug connections — no replacement parts needed. This video walks through the most common error codes and what to check first. For a full breakdown, read our troubleshooting guide.

Vvkb Apollo V2 5KW diesel air heater for RV, truck, and van

2.5KW or 5KW — Which One Do You Need

The 2.5KW model heats spaces up to 150 sq ft (14 m²) — right for most RVs, vans, and small truck cabs. It runs on 0.1–0.25 L/hr and draws less than 10A at startup.

The 5KW model handles spaces up to 250 sq ft (23 m²) — better for large motorhomes, big trucks, and boats. It runs on 0.16–0.5 L/hr and covers more ground in the same warm-up time.

If your space is borderline, go with the 5KW — it runs at lower settings and gives you headroom for colder conditions.

FAQ

What is the difference between the 2.5KW and 5KW models?

The 2.5KW model heats spaces up to 150 sq ft (14 m²) and uses 0.1–0.25 L/hr of fuel. The 5KW model handles spaces up to 250 sq ft (23 m²) and uses 0.16–0.5 L/hr. For borderline spaces, choose 5KW — it runs at lower output settings and gives you headroom in extreme cold.

How much fuel does a diesel heater use?

The 2.5KW model uses 0.1–0.25 liters per hour depending on heat setting. The 5KW model uses 0.16–0.5 liters per hour. At mid-setting over an 8-hour night, a 5KW unit uses approximately 2–3 liters — less than 1 gallon.

Is it safe to use in an RV or campervan?

Yes. Vvkb diesel heaters use a sealed combustion chamber — outside air is drawn in for combustion, and exhaust exits through a dedicated pipe to the outside. Your cabin air never contacts the combustion gases. This design is E-mark certified for road vehicle use.

Can I use it while driving?

Yes. Vvkb diesel heaters work while the vehicle is stationary or moving. The combustion process runs independently of vehicle motion. Many truck drivers run them continuously during cold-weather drives.

Can I use it at high altitudes?

The heater automatically adjusts the fuel-to-air ratio up to 11,483 ft (3,500m). Above that elevation, output may reduce as thinner air affects combustion. For most mountain driving and camping, it operates normally.

Can it run on biodiesel?

Vvkb diesel heaters run on standard diesel fuel. A B5 blend (5% biodiesel) is generally fine. Higher blends — B20 or above — may cause incomplete combustion, carbon buildup on the glow plug, and reduced lifespan over time. For best performance, use standard diesel.

What should I do if my heater shows an error code?

Most error codes point to fuel supply, air circulation, or glow plug connections — not unit failure. Check that the fuel line is primed, the air intake and exhaust are unobstructed, and the glow plug connection is secure. Our troubleshooting guide covers every error code with step-by-step fixes.
